On 2nd June 2022, a liquidator (Nicholas O’Dwyer of Grant Thornton) was appointed to Bio-Medical Research Ltd the parent company of Slendertone and The Flex Belt. The subsidiary business, Slendertone Distribution Inc, also entered provisional liquidation on 29th June 2022.
Unfortunately, the move into liquidation resulted in all staff being laid off leading to some unanswered queries. We outline below what your rights are.
I placed an order but it hasn’t been dispatched, will this still be sent?
Unfortunately, any orders placed before 2nd June 2022 are with ‘Bio-Medical Research Ltd’. As a result of the liquidation, some placed orders were not dispatched. For unreceived orders, your bank/credit card company may be able to help you claim a refund. You may also make a claim to the liquidator to become an unsecured creditor by following the instructions below.
I want to return an order placed before 2nd June, what can I do? OR I returned a parcel but never received a refund
Any orders placed before 2nd June 2022 were with ‘Bio-Medical Research Ltd’ and therefore any monies owed rank as an unsecured claim in the liquidation. In addition, from 2nd June date, refunds or returns will not be processed, even if previously authorised. Please DO NOT return any product purchased before this date as the warehouse is no longer operated by Bio-Medical Research Limited, is unable to process refunds and will not send your item back to you. You may make a claim to the liquidator to become an unsecured creditor by following the instructions below.
How to register as an unsecured creditor
Please send an email to info@ie.gt.com. In this please add your name, order number, the value of the purchase, what the claim relates to and a copy of the proof of purchase. Upon receipt of this information your claim will be registered and the liquidation team will be in touch when there is a further update.
Is my warranty still valid?
As a result of the liquidation of Bio-Medical Research Ltd, unfortunately, product warranties are no longer valid. Please see above instructions for how to register as an unsecured creditor.
