It is rare that pairing issues occur but when they do it is frustrating, however, following the steps below should resolve it for you: -
- Ensure the Connect controller battery is fully charged and the battery indicator is green
- In 'Settings' on your device, ensure Bluetooth is turned On
- Check that the Connect controller firmware version is v1.71 by checking in the Settings of the Connect App, steps here
- If not the latest firmware version, update the firmware, steps here
- If there is a software update pending on your device, please download it.
- Try pairing again, if still unable to pair the device with the Connect controller, follow the steps below.
Has the Connect controller previously been paired with this device or another device?
- In the Bluetooth settings ensure that the Connect controller isn't already paired with this device or with another one
- If the Connect controller is paired with a device
- it will need to be unpaired from within the Connect app
- by going to Settings in the App and selecting 'Unpair Controller'
- and from the phone Settings
- by going to Bluetooth and selecting 'Unpair' in Slendertone Connect
- it will need to be unpaired from within the Connect app
Check all Connectivity Settings
- Turn off any power/battery saving features or power/battery saving apps (if installed) as this can affect the pairing process
- On the device, go to Settings --> Apps --> Slendertone Connect --> App Permissions - ensure that 'Contacts', 'Location' and 'Storage' are enabled
- On the device, enable 'Location' (GPS) services manually
Try to Pair the Connect controller and the phone again
- Restart the Connect app and switch on the Connect controller when prompted
- Press the '-' (decrease intensity) button for 3 seconds or until you hear a beep. This must be done within 30 seconds of switching the controller on, if not, the pairing window will time out.
- Beeps will continue and the blue LED on the controller will flash while in pairing mode
- The Connect app will display a 4-digit code. Select 'Confirm' to pair the devices
- Confirm that you wish to pair the devices
Still not Paired?
- Unpair the Connect app in the Bluetooth settings on the device
- Uninstall the Connect app from your device
- Re-install the Connect app
- In 'Settings' on your device, go to 'App', find 'Slendertone Connect' and authorise the permission for Contacts, Location and Storage
- Open the app and follow the on screen pairing instructions (as per steps in section above)
